Thermal baths and Danube grandeur

Overview

About Hungary

Hungary is thermal water, paprika-rich cooking and a capital split by the Danube into hilly Buda and flat, grand Pest. Beyond Budapest lie Lake Balaton's vineyard shores, the baroque streets of Eger and Pécs, and the wide Puszta grasslands where horsemen still perform. Tokaj's sweet wines have been protected by law since 1737.
