Ottoman bridges and emerald rivers
Overview
About Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina layers Ottoman bazaars, Austro-Hungarian boulevards and medieval stećci tombstones across a country of limestone canyons and fast green rivers. Sarajevo and Mostar carry the history most visibly; the Neretva, Una and Drina valleys carry the landscape. It has 20 km of coast at Neum, but its water is really about rivers and waterfalls.
