Where the Drava meets the Danube spreads one of Europe's largest intact floodplain wetlands — a mosaic of oxbow lakes, willow forests and reed beds that fills and drains with the rivers. Over 290 bird species have been recorded here: white-tailed eagles, black storks, cormorant colonies. Take a boat through the flooded forest, walk the raised wooden causeways, and eat carp fiš paprikaš in nearby Kopačevo.
