A dammed alpine-feeling lake ringed by dark spruce forest — the highest hydro reservoir in Gorski Kotar. In summer it's swimmable and paddleboardable; in winter it sometimes freezes solid. The nearby Lokvarka cave, 275 metres deep, is one of Croatia's most impressive show caves.
