The Golden Horn on the southern shore of Brač is Croatia's most-photographed beach — a slender white-pebble spit that changes shape and even direction as the winds and currents shift. Pine trees back the beach, the water shelves gently into deep turquoise, and windsurfers pack the western side when the maestral picks up in the afternoon. Reach Bol on Brač by ferry from Split (about 90 minutes each way).
