One of Europe's largest preserved wet meadows — a floodplain of the Sava with traditional oak-timber villages, semi-wild Turopolje pigs and, above all, storks. Čigoč, at the heart of the park, has been declared 'the European stork village' — nearly every roof carries a nest and stork family from March to August.
