Why visit
Why visit Vrsar & Lim Fjord
The Lim 'fjord' isn't really a fjord — it's a drowned karst valley cutting 10 kilometres inland from the coast, its cliffs green with holm oak. Boat tours leave from Vrsar and Rovinj; you'll pass mussel and oyster farms (both are excellent), and can pull up at a rustic konoba only reachable by water.

Boat tours leave from Vrsar and Rovinj; you'll pass mussel and oyster farms (both are excellent), and can pull up at a rustic konoba only reachable by water. Vrsar itself is a quieter, more compact old town — Casanova stayed here twice and wrote about it fondly in his memoirs.
“The Lim Channel appeared as Vaes Dothrak in early scouting locations for Game of Thrones, and its oysters are on the menu at Croatia's presidential palace.”
