Writing a detailed guide for Esterházy Palace, Eisenstadt…
The Hungarian Esterházy princes' Austrian seat is a yellow-Baroque palace whose Haydnsaal — with one of the world's best concert acoustics — was where Joseph Haydn directed the court orchestra from 1761 to 1790. His tomb is in the Bergkirche on the hill above town. The palace also houses the Esterházy treasury and a beautifully restored chinoiserie room.
Fun facts
